ELEMENTS OUTFITTERS, COMMUNTIY COLLAB
A mix of Filson and Patagonia apparel highlighted by the foothills of southern Alberta. The images were shot for use as both advertising and documentary purposes in balmy -26°C (-15°F) weather.
This area of Alberta has been under threat of coal exploration and mining since protective policy was cancelled around two years ago. The Alberta Government has since reinstated the protective measures, but without a promise of perpetuity. Members of SALTS (Southern Alberta Land Trust Society) and CPAWS’ (Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society) southern Alberta chapter joined us to talk about their connection to the foothills while modelling brand apparel. Though coal mining impacts these two organizations in different ways, they share similar concerns about the future of these lands.
